I earned my bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from San Francisco State University and a juris doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. I have more than a decade of litigation experience including work as a former prosecutor. I defended the fiscal integrity of the Medi-Cal program in administrative hearings for the Department of Health Care Services and investigated health care consumer complaints on behalf of the Department of Managed Health Care. Additionally, I have served as the director of legal programs for Christian Legal Aid of Los Angeles which provides pro bono services to low-income clients.
